Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations

Please add all requests at the bottom of the list below, following the format given at How should a case be filed? above. A CCI clerk or administrator will review your request, according to the instructions, then either open the case or decline it.

I found five possible problems. I've separated them into four sections, below.

I've sorted the problems from largest to smallest. "Largest" means that the largest number of words were copied.

Section "A" describes two possible problems. The other sections describe one possible problem each.

I think both of the above problems have been since fixed by other Wikipedians, but no revdel work has been done.

If there's not enough evidence to open a CCI, please let me know. Thanks! --MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 00:36, 26 September 2020 (UTC) MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 00:36, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

I think you have them all. To be sure, I'll go over them below. MER-C 10:06, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

I have been ill and have not been online, I am in the process of deleting everything except my private family collections. I admit some mistakes, and I will delete anything you dont like. I have been a Wiki contributor for many years and I have promised you that i will clean this up asap.Vox3000 (talk) 14.59, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

Many copyvio's (most of them hard to detect because the book sources give no preview or the sources are in another language), stretching back over many articles and more than 10 years, many still present in the current articles... I fear that, if my suspicions are right, many of these articles will need to be deleted completely, or brought back to a state from many years ago (since besides their creations, they also largely expanded many other articles) Fram (talk) 10:08, 23 October 2020 (UTC)

Addendum; they were warned about copyvio by User:Diannaa in 2019, and by thesorely missed Corensearchbot in 2014

Proposed investigations should be listed in the section above. All contributors with no history of copyright problems are welcome to contribute to clean up. Additionally, contributors listed are encouraged to contribute to clean up of their own materials. New listings should mention the date they were opened, and listed in the order they are opened. Overview of rough stats here.

Only clerks or administrators should add or remove listings in this section.
