Cheryl J. Ellis, 74, of Leon, N.Y., entered into rest Sept. 29, 2022 with loved ones by her side.

She was born June 30, 1948, in Jamestown, N.Y. to the late John and Irene Beck.

Cheryl was raised on Hunt Road in Jamestown, N.Y., and graduated from Southwestern Central School. After high school she went on to study medical technology at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Cheryl worked for the Pine Valley Central School District for over 30 years as a teachers aide and a bus monitor. She also served as a council woman in the town of Leon for several years.

She enjoyed spending summers on her boat at D Dock on Chautauqua Lake, music and dancing, the Christmas season, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia and spending time with her family.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Jerome; her cherished childre: John (Amy) Ellis and Samantha (Kris) Kozlowski; her grandchildren: Nicolas, Sydney, Emma and Kameron; her sister, Barbara (Ken) Eggleston; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may visit DiStasio Funeral Home, 478 Route 83, South Dayton at Balcom Corners on Wednesday Oct. 5, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m.
