Client Surveys – Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Official information on voluntary client surveys conducted by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to gather feedback on immigration and citizenship services. Participation helps IRCC improve programs and services.
Purpose of the Surveys
IRCC conducts client surveys to understand clients’ experiences with its services and programs, determine if services met expectations, and identify opportunities for improvement. Participation is voluntary and confidential.
What Surveys Ask
Surveys do **not** ask for personal financial information or sensitive details such as bank accounts, passwords, or passport numbers. They focus on client experience, satisfaction with services, and feedback on interactions with IRCC.
Your responses will not affect any past, current, or future applications to IRCC.
Current and Recent Surveys
Examples of IRCC surveys that have been or are being conducted include:
- Survey for clients who received a final decision from IRCC in 2025.
- Survey for Moroccan citizens approved for a visitor visa and invited to receive a digital visa.
- Survey for permanent residents who arrived in Canada between 2018 and 2024.
- Ongoing surveys for users of the IRCC Portal.
- Survey for Express Entry candidates invited to apply for permanent residence.
- Survey for passport applicants in 2025.
How They Are Conducted
Surveys are typically delivered by email and contain a unique link to an online survey platform (e.g., Qualtrics or Advanis). The invitation is sent by IRCC or a research firm working on its behalf.
If You Don’t Receive a Survey
If you are not invited to participate, you can still provide feedback directly through the feedback options available on the IRCC website. Surveys are optional and do not affect applications.
