👤 Who must complete Schedule 2?

  • The principal applicant (person seeking refugee protection outside Canada)
  • The spouse or common-law partner (accompanying or not)
  • Dependent children aged 18 or older (accompanying or not)

Each eligible family member must complete and sign their own Schedule 2 form.

🧾 What information does the form require?

Part A & B – Refugee Claim Details

  • Basis of your refugee claim
  • Current immigration status in your country of residence
  • Personal history and background information
  • Ability to establish in Canada

Part C – Family Information

You must list all family members, whether they are:

  • Accompanying you or not
  • Alive or deceased
  • Known or unknown whereabouts

If a family member's status is unknown, indicate “unknown.” If deceased, indicate “deceased.” Full disclosure is mandatory.
